Hello, I'm MAMAMOO's leader and in charge of vocals, do-re-mi-fa-so-la Solar!
— Solar's MWAVE greeting[1]

Solar (Korean: 솔라) is the leader of K-Pop girl group MAMAMOO. She has a YouTube channel called solarsido.

Solar's Career section excludes her activities with MAMAMOO.

Solar appeared on MBC's King of Mask Singer as "Sunflower" (episode 21 to 22).[2]

Solar released the first single of Solar Emotion on October 23, starting the project and (unofficially) her career as a soloist.[citation needed] The single was Lived Like a Fool, a song originally made by Kim Dohyang.[citation needed] Solar later released the second single and part of the project, Only Longing Grows, on December 11, a song originally made by Yeojin.[3]

From April 9 to November 19, Solar was on We Got Married with Eric Nam (episode 316 to 348).[4] Meanwhile, the third part of the project, In My Dreams, was released on July 8; it was originally a song by Cho Deokbae.[5]

Solar released the fourth part of Solar Emotion on February 21, titled Happy People. The single was accompanied by an intro, and the song was originally made by Sunflower. She also released the fourth part on her birthday.[6]

In the fifth part of the project, released on October 17, Solar released two singles. The first one was Alone People, originally a song by Lee Jeongseon; the other one was Autumn Letter, a song originally made by Kim Minki.[7] On December 2, Solar went on Battle Trip with Moonbyul to Hong Kong (episode 74).[8][9]

Solar released the sixth and final part of the project as an EP on April 24.[10] Where the Wind Rises, Nada Sou Sou, It's Been A Long Time, and Star Wind Flower Sun were the singles of the sixth part.[11] Solar also released an LP version of the EP, with it containing all the songs released throughout the project.

From April 27 to 29, Solar hosted a solo concert to celebrate the end of the project, titled Emotion Concert Blossom.[12][13]

On April 23, Solar officially debuted as a soloist with the single Spit It Out.[14][15]
